Branching story canvas
Map scenes, forks, quests, endings, and consequences without learning a scripting language.

Free RPG and LitRPG authoring
Ink Fortress gives RPG and LitRPG authors a free builder for quests, choices, artifacts, stat logic, math audits, and reader POV simulation. Write the prose. Let the workspace remember the system.
No budget meeting. No engine fee just to test the idea. Sign up and start building the adventure your fandom keeps asking for.
Why this matters
The spreadsheet knows the hero has 5 HP left, but the chapter does not.
A reader can reach the locked gate without the key because one branch slipped past you.
Gold, wounds, curses, cooldowns, faction scores, and romance points all live in separate notes.
Playtesting means clicking through every branch manually and hoping you remembered the weird path.
Free toolkit
LitRPG lives or dies on trust. When a reader sees HP, gold, skills, keys, curses, and quest progress, they assume the numbers are real. Ink Fortress helps you make them real without turning your novel into a spreadsheet.
Map scenes, forks, quests, endings, and consequences without learning a scripting language.
Track HP, gold, XP, affinity, reputation, timers, and thresholds so your progression stays believable.
Keys, relics, spells, clues, flags, curses, faction marks: visible or invisible, each one can unlock or block a path.
Run the adventure like a reader before launch and catch dead ends, broken rewards, and impossible routes.
Let readers check the state that matters, then close it cleanly and return to the prose.
The RPG/LitRPG authoring workflow is free: plan it, write it, audit it, simulate it, and prepare it for readers.
Reader state
Readers should be able to swipe open the state of the adventure, see that the hero has 5 HP left, check the gold, inspect the active quest, and close it without losing the rhythm of the chapter. Hidden consequences stay hidden until your story reveals them.
HP, gold, inventory, active quests, class, level, party status, cooldowns, and named relationship scores.
Curses, hidden faction debt, prophecy flags, suspicion counters, secret timers, and branch-only consequences.
A separate overlay lets readers interrogate the numbers, then dismiss it and return to the page without game clutter.

Author workflow
Keep the interface Apple simple: one calm writing surface, one visual map, one audit pass, one simulation loop. The tool handles the state so you can stay with the story.

Start from your Fortress canon or a blank RPG canvas. Characters, factions, locations, lore, and book context become usable story material.
Attach stats, items, rewards, wounds, clues, choices, gates, and invisible flags while staying inside a calm writing surface.
Check the math before readers do: impossible paths, missing artifacts, dangling quests, broken thresholds, and progression drift.
Run through the adventure as the reader. Swipe, choose, inspect stats, hit gates, and feel where the story drags or breaks.

Free removes the first enemy
The offer is deliberately simple: sign up, build the RPG/LitRPG experience, audit the logic, and run it as a reader. If it works, you have a new format for your world. If it does not, you still learned without paying for another tool.
